Floating Over Los Angeles

I shot several segments for a documentary about the creator of the Stick a musical in strument like an electric guitar. Check it out here. The producer wanted a helicopter shoot over the Hollywood Hills, so I drove down to South Central where the airport was located. This pilot was professional during our flight. However, I saw him on a reality tv shoot execute some hotdog maneuvers. Impressive pilot, but I was glad to be standing on the ground.

Our camera mount for this shoot was the Kenyon Labs Mini Gyro stabilizer. It worked well, but probably not used much anymore. Drones definitely fill this need now.
