India: The First Time

We traveled to India to make a fundraising film for a longer for documentary that never got off the ground. Which is a shame because this film dealt with a gripping and sensitive subject; the caste system. This was my first trip to India. I was to return with a few different productions over the years.

The thing about India is that you can travel for months and not see the end of the country. I think we had 10 days.

In a very small village far from our base in Hyderabad, we were cordially invited in for a visit by the sheriff. He soon decided we were harmless and let us go on our way.
