Clint Eastwood by Martin Schoeller.
We used Schoeller's photographs as a template for the lighting set-ups in this documentary commissioned by an agency affiliated with the Catholic Church. We also employed the device known as the "Interrotron" created by the genius filmmaker, Errol Morris. For this documentary I stole from everyone.
This is the lighting setup for our interviews. However, you aren't able to see the "Interrotron" which is basically a camera with a teleprompter attached. The subject looks directly at the camera but the teleprompter is projecting a video of the interviewer's face. The subject basically has a conversation with a face on a monitor. Here is a short video which explains the process. Here is a link to the trailer.
The sublime beauty of the Arri Master Primes.
One of the subjects of the documentary is a professional musician.
